FAILED MUSIC 2 was the EP me and rocco made together for fun while hanging out a bunch lol. it came together so naturally, it was so fun. each song was produced by someone different— "GIMME THAT SHIT" was produced by me, "GOD" was produced by franco and SKYPE was produced by lando.

to be honest most of this project was just us hanging out and getting drunk and making music together lol. rocco and i had a lot of different demos in this era that were either not finished, or just not good enough to be on an EP. pirate song was one of them, but most of them just went unreleased.

"GIMME THAT SHIT" is lowkey my fav of ours and i think the most iconic song we have together. the production and our writing are both so fun. it was actually the last song we made for this EP because we wanted one that was more dance/edm focused. "GOD" is potentially the most drunk i have ever been writing a song. me and rocco and eva went to oscar's one night and went back to rocco's apartment after. i got this really fucked up drink from the deli called JOOSE that was basically an orange four loko and like, basically blacked out and recorded a bunch of shit on the beat that rocco got from franco. it was pretty much all bad, and i rewrote my verses later, but the hook on the song is exactly the same as i recorded it then lol.

i think "SKYPE" is such an underrated song of ours. we had the idea of using the skype call sound on the beat, and ended up interpolating the melody. the concept of the song was all about love communicated through technology. i love when rocco gets a little vulnerable on a song, i think their verses are so good. the part at the end where we take the FX off their vocals and let the raw vocal finish the EP.... yeah... we cooked.

it's an awesome EP. i love all these songs and i really hope me and rocco can put out another one soon :p
